As both a physician and someone who has personally navigated mental health challenges, I understand how overwhelming it can feel to ask for help.
My goal isn't simply to reduce symptoms.
It's to help you reconnect with your relationships, creativity, work, and the things that make life meaningful.
Medication can be incredibly helpful, but I believe the best psychiatric care comes from understanding the person behind the diagnosis.
That philosophy guides every appointment.
Instead of asking,
"Which medication should we use?"
I first ask,
"What does your ideal life look like?"
Psychiatric treatment should reduce suffering without losing sight of who you are.
Together we'll decide whether medication, therapy, lifestyle changes—or a combination—is the best approach for you.
If you're unsure exactly what's going on, that's okay. Figuring it out is part of what we'll do together.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, OCD, ADHD, depression, or another mental health concern, treatment should feel collaborative—not rushed.
At Harwood Psychiatry, every appointment is centered around understanding your goals before deciding on treatment.
Patients choose Harwood Psychiatry because they want a psychiatrist who will:
✓ Listen first
✓ Explain treatment options
✓ Use medication thoughtfully
✓ Work collaboratively
✓ Stay current with the latest research
